About Me
Thanks for stopping by, here's a little about mePhoto by Joanna Donofrio
My name is Dane Bliss, I was raised in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Growing up, I have always admired art in many different forms. In my opinion, the more unique and creative something is, the more awesome it is. Upon graduating high school, I was left with the decision of what to do with my life. I needed direction, and at the time college didn’t look like a good idea to me. At 18 years old, it is hard to choose what you want to do for the rest of your life. I decided to put college on the back burner and went straight to Uncle Sam. In August 2004, I was on the first plane to Lackland AFB, TX where I attended Basic Military Training for the US Air Force. I got to travel the world and see many great things. While I was enlisted, I had a few hobbies, one of them being web design. I taught myself Microsoft FrontPage and started making websites for fun. I thought to myself, “Imagine getting paid for this? Why don’t you make something like this your career?” My enlistment was up after 6.5 years, and I decided to pursue that fun little hobby of mine. I was taking a chance because my son was 3 at the time, but that did not stop me. I enrolled at the New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) studying Graphics, Multimedia and Web Design (GMW). I fell in love with design right away and the choice I made at 18 years old started to make more sense to me. I graduated with my Associates in 2012, I worked as a designer at a few places; one being Schneider Electric, where I was an Event/Tradeshow Graphic Designer. After two years there, I noticed that NEIT was now offering a Bachelor’s degree for GMW, so I signed up first chance. Feel free to contact me using the form in the contact page any more information.
